pho in Boston?

Comments

I have been to Pho Pasteur in Harvard Square. I think it was alright (it was 9 years ago). It's pretty posh, though.

Pho Pasteur in Chinatown was the best I've tried in Boston (it's a step up from the Harvard Sq. location... could just be it feels more right being in Chinatown, but I swear the food tastes different). That said, I've never had any Boston pho that can compare to the pho in California. And I lived there for 8 years. :(

But, believe it or not, there's a pretty good Mexican restaurant in Waltham of all places - Taqueria Mexico on Charles St.

Would it be that hard to make at home?
totally not hard to make, but hard to get -just right-. I rarely eat out, but with the cold weather fast approaching, I'm looking for a $5 bowl of delicious noodles to warm me up!
"with the cold weather.....delicious noodles to warm me up!"

I'll eat to that!
does it need to be pho? there's good ramen in boston.
I'm a bit addicted to pho, but ramen is grand.

Oh lord...did you say Ramen? MMMmmm...When I lived in Korea thats all I ate!!! I am a ramen gourment!!! Especially if its spicy ramen with cheese!

dont know as I've ever had ramen with cheese, but ramen's definitely another thing I don't find all the time here in Boston. noooooooooodle!
There are a bunch of Japanese places in a mall in Porter Square in Cambridge. I have been and there is tasty ramen to be had. Here's a good overview.
When I lived in Boston, Pho Bolsa on the edge of Chinatown was my fave. That was ten years ago, though.
I do love Chinatown anyway, so it's worth a try! Thanks!
[this is good]
thank you!
